Indigenous leadership of Rights of Nature on Turtle Island is critical at this time on Mother Earth. The goals of this webinar are to share the experiences of those tribes who have recognized Rights of Nature in tribal law with each other; to share those experiences with others considering this path; and to explore Indigenous-led experiences regarding the rights of the waters.

Australian Earth Laws Alliance Rights of Nature 2020 Online Conference

October 14-16, 2020

This conference invites participants to share research and project updates, and work together to progress collaborative projects. This year’s conference will bring together First Nations peoples, legal experts and legal practitioners from around the Asia Pacific region (via zoom). It will also bring ocean rights and law of the sea experts together with Earth laws experts focused on terrestrial land and biodiversity management.
